Archery World Cup | Men's recurve team finish third in qualification round

The Indian men’s recurve team have finished the qualification round at the third place in the ongoing Archery World Cup in Berlin, Germany. Indian archers Atanu Das, Atul Verma, and Pravin Ramesh Jadhav will now take on the Canadian team in the first round of the global archery event.

India managed to score 1924 in the qualifying round of the World Cup that helped them secure the third spot ahead of the first round of the competition in Berlin. Atanu Das is leading the Indian team which comprises of Atul Verma and Pravin Ramesh Jadhav. They will now take on Canada in the first round of the fourth stage of the World Cup on Thursday.

Four winners from this stage will make it to the Archery World Cup Finals that will be held in September this year in Moscow. On the other hand, the Indian women's recurve team finished fifth in the qualification round with a total of 1854 points. The team with archers like Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi Laishram, and Madhu Vedwan will face Turkey in the first round. 

Bombayla Devi Laishram and Atul Verma played in the mixed team event and scored 1268 in qualification. They will be playing Russia in their next encounter on Friday.
