The IOS sports management group joins hands with Indian golden girl Hima Das who inked a multi-crore two-year exclusive contract with the company and secured her immediate future. Das joins a long line of sports personalities that IOS represent such as MC Mary Kom, Manika Batra and Mirabai Chanu.
IOS Sports & Entertainment, India's leading sports management group has signed India's Golden Sprinter Hima Das to the long list of sporting icons the company represents. The 18-year-old Hima Das, who hails from Dhing village in Assam's Nagaon district, has inked a multi-crore two-year exclusive contract with the company.
Hima Das joins the likes of Boxing superstars MC Mary Kom and Vijender Singh, Commonwealth Games gold medalists Manika Batra and Mirabai Chanu and many more sports celebrities that the group manages.
Recently Hima Das created history by winning the Gold medal in women’s 400-metre event at the IAAF World U-20 Championships held at Tampere, Finland. Hima clocked 51.46 seconds in the finals at the
Hima Das, daughter of a rice-farmer started her career in 2012 and performed well at district level competitions. In early 2016, she won the 100 meters race at the state championships and later at year made to the finals of Junior Athletics Championship in Coimbatore without any training. After some time she shifted to the sports academy in Guwahati to train under coach Nipon Das.
Hima was picked for the national camp for the first time this year by the national coach of 400m & 4x400m relay team Ms Galina Petrova Bukharina from America. In the national camp, Hima was trained by Galina 400m for this
