    Saina Nehwal will take on Chinese World No. 8 Chen Yufei in the second round of the Indonesia Open after she saw off Dinar Dyah Ayustine in the first round in straight sets. After Kidambi Srikanth’s shock exit in the first round, Nehwal is of the few remaining contenders from the Indian contingent.

    Nehwal has faced the Chinese ace only twice in her while career with both of them sharing the spoils of the war. The last time they face each other was earlier this year in the Indonesia Masters in January when Nehwal had exacted her revenge over Yufei for the Hong Kong Open loss in 2017.

    Playing under similar conditions once again, Nehwal would be expected to cross the barrier. She came into the game against local favourite  Ayustine in the opening round whom Nehwal beat 21-12, 21-12 with relative ease. Yufei, too, had an easy opponent in Russia’s Evgeniya Kosetskaya whom she defeated 21-10, 21-15. However, the last two occasions that they faced have both been to three sets and this second round match promises to pack a punch.
