The Australian Open World Tour Super 300 tournament commenced yesterday with the qualifiers and today in the first round of the tournament, five Indians will be seen in action. World No. 5 Sindhu will take on Choirunnisa Choirunnisa of Indonesia. On the other hand, the men’s singles first round matches will be played by Sai Praneeth, Sameer Verma, HS Prannoy and Parupalli Kashyap on Wednesday. Sameer Verma will want to put up a strong show against Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. India’s hopes will be on Sindhu and Verma to deliver along with Sai Praneeth, Kashyap and Prannoy.

In the doubles category, Ashwini Ponappa and Sikki Reddy will play in the women’s doubles while in the men’s category, India will be represented by Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, and Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy. The two Indian pair will take on each other in the first round in the tournament today.
