A. Tamim Iqbal     B. Shikhar Dhawan

In this Champions Trophy so far, Tamim Iqbal has scored 223 runs at an average of 74.33, including a century against England in the very first match of the CT. Dhawan, on the other hand, has scored 271 runs at an astounding average of 90.33. Also, in H2H matches, Tamim Iqbal has an average of 31.5 against India whereas Dhawan has an average of 43.2 against Bangladesh. Also, in the warm-up match prior to the Champions Trophy, Dhawan scored 60 runs against Bangladesh, whereas Tamim missed out due to injury. Thus going by Dhawan's record in England and his form in this CT so far, we predict Dhawan to outscore Tamim Iqbal.

Q2) Who will take more wickets?

A. Mustafizur    B. Bumrah   C. Equal

Both Mustafizur and Bumrah have struggled in this Champions Trophy so far, having taken 1 and 2 wickets each respectively. Bumrah took both his wickets against South Africa in India's previous match, whereas Mustafizur's lone wicket came against New Zealand at Cardiff. Mustafizur has an astonishing record against India, having taken a staggering total of 13 wickets in the 3 matches he has played against them. Bumrah, on the other hand, is yet to play an ODI against Bangladesh. Despite only picking up 1 wicket in this CT so far, Indian batsmen have always found it difficult to pick Mustafizur, and hence we predict Mustafizur to take more wickets than Bumrah.

Q3) Who will concede more runs?

A. Mortaza   B. Kumar

In this Champions Trophy so far, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has an economy rate of 4.44 compared to Mortaza's 5.04 Also, in their respective previous matches, Mortaza conceded 45 runs whereas Bhuvenshwar Kumar just conceded 23 runs.  However, in the H2H matches played between these two sides, Mortaza has an economy rate of 5.18 compared to Bhuvneshwar Kumar's economy rate of 5.50. Also, Bhuvneshwar Kumar just conceded 23 runs in the match against Pakistan played at Birmingham. This should give Bhuveshwar Kumar a slight edge, having already bowled in this venue once before. Hence we predict Mortaza to concede more runs than Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Q4) Which team will have more hundred-run partnerships?

A. India   B. Bangladesh  C. Equal

In this Champions Trophy so far, Bangladesh have recorded two 150+ run partnerships, including 224-run stand between Shakib and Mahmudullah in their victory against New Zealand. India, on the other hand, have had a 100-run stand in each of their 3 matches in this Champions Trophy. Also, India recorded a 100-run partnership against Bangladesh in the warm-up match prior to the Champions Trophy. Furthermore, India's opening combination of Dhawan-Rohit have already recorded two 100-run partnerships in this Champions Trophy. Hence taking into consideration the numbers, we predict India to have more hundred run partnerships than Bangladesh.

Q5)  Who will advance into the final?

A. India   B.Bangladesh

India hold a 3-2 advantage over Bangladesh in the last 5 H2H ODIs played between these two teams. Both India and Bangladesh are coming into this clash with confident victories over South Africa and New Zealand respectively. Having just witnessed Pakistan upset England, India would be well aware of the fact that this Bangladesh team is capable of potentially beating them and progressing to the final. However, India have lost 1 of their last 7 Champions Trophy, and would know what they exactly need to do to get through. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are playing their first ever major Semi-Final, and might be overwhelmed by the ocassion. India also knocked Bangladesh out in Quarter-Finals of the 2015 WC. Hence taking into consideration India's record in the Champions Trophy and their experience in big matches, we predict them to beat Bangladesh and progress to the final of the Champions Trophy to take on their arch rivals Pakistan.

Q6) How many runs will Virat Kohli score?

A) <50   B) >=50

In this Champions Trophy so far, Virat Kohli has scored 157 runs in 3 matches, inlcuding half-centuries against Pakistan and South Africa. In H2H encounters against Bangladesh, Kohli has scored a mammoth 558 runs in 10 matches at an average of 69.75. However, the last time Kohli faced Bangladesh in an ICC tournament, he managed to score just 1 run, in the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 WC. Thus he'll be looking to make amends for it and score big in today's encounter. Kohli will also be boosted by the fact that he scored an unbeaten 81 against Pakistan in this very venue. Hence taking into consideration Kohli's recent form and his record in big games, we predict him to score more than 50 runs in this crucial encounter vs Bangladesh.
