Virat Kohli’s poor run of form has cost him in the latest ICC Test rankings. Kohli has dropped down to No.4 in the list with Kane Williamson leapfrogging him and Englishman Joe Root to the 2nd spot. Williamson's rise is the result of his brilliant ton in the 1st Test against South Africa.

Virat Kohli has managed to score only 40 runs in the first two Tests against Australia, and that had cost the Indian skipper the second spot in the ICC Test batting rankings with Joe Root leapfrogging him last week. Now, Kohli has dropped further in the rankings with Kane Williamson, who scored 130 in the drawn first Test between New Zealand and South Africa, climbing up to the second spot above Root and Kohli.

Cheteshwar Pujara, on the other hand, has made a big jump in the rankings, on the back of his brilliant 92 in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test. Pujara is now at the No.6 spot in the ICC rankings.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja’s seven-wicket haul in the Bengaluru Test had seen him join Ravichandran Ashwin at the top of the bowling rankings. Ashwin, who has struggled to score runs with the bat in this series, has reclaimed his spot at the top of the all-rounder's rankings after Shakib Al Hasan had claimed the No.1 spot last week.
