There’s good news for Indian cricket fans after Umesh Yadav said that skipper Virat Kohli looks ready to bat during the ongoing Indian innings in Ranchi. Kohli was seen padded up at the start of the third day’s play and is likely to come to the crease at any point during the Indian innings.

Indian speedster Umesh Yadav bolstered Indian spirits on Friday by saying that skipper Virat Kohli looks ready to bat following a shoulder injury he suffered after a fall near the boundary line on the first day of the third Test in Ranchi.

There has been a lot of speculation about how big a role Kohli can play in the remainder of the Test. While some outlets have suggested that the Indian captain has been advised to take rest for 10 days, others have said that he is ready to rejoin the action.

However, it has come to light that even though Kohli hasn’t taken the field ever since his injury, he has been receiving treatment on his shoulder in the meantime. Yadav, now, has offered fans a positive update on his injury by saying, “Bandage will obviously remain after an injury. But I think he’s fit to play. The way he’s practicing at the nets, it seems he’s all set to come back.”
