MS Dhoni's fantastic running between the wickets and his alertness behind the stumps has always been a matter of great help for the Indian team. In the Guwahati T20I against Australia, Dhoni showcased his incredible fitness and skill by taking a couple of runs with the top-speed being 31 kms/hour.

Dhoni had shown signs of returning to form in the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka - an opponent he always loves to play - by bailing India out of the woods in almost every match. But, in the series against Australia, he failed to keep that level up with the bat and apart from the first ODI in Chennai, he couldn't do anything spectacular.

However, none could blame the former Indian skipper's fitness level for his dwindling performances. Had there been any, he blew that to smithereens in the second T20I while taking a couple of runs, in which he clocked an unbelievable speed of 31kms/hr. Interestingly, his partner at the other end, Kedar Jadhav could only clock a highest sprint of 24kms/hr in his pursuit of completing the couple. This was the clear demonstration of his amazing fitness level that basically evades many sportsmen of his age.

However, it was not the first time that Dhoni had exhibited such speed as during a nets session at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru earlier this year, he had run 20 metres in 2.91 seconds and had completed the run-a-three race in 8.3 seconds.
