The criticism that Virat Kohli has received recently has been his affinity to over-celebrate dismissals, but even he was left holding his head watching Mandeep Singh's antics. The game between RCB and CSK saw an excited Mandeep almost breaking the spider-cam after he took Suresh Raina’s catch.

Chennai Super Kings didn’t have the most desirable of starts as they came on to chase a mammoth target of 205 runs set by the hosts, thanks to some late heroics by Mandeep Singh in the first innings. After Shane Watson was sent back to the pavillion in the first over itself, fans were looking at CSK’s top-scorer Suresh Raina to lead the charge.

CSK's highest run-scorer, Raina, looked under pressure as he struggled to get runs on a regular basis and had to bring in innovation to squeeze out singles. It was in the first ball of the sixth over and in an attempt to accelerate the run rate the southpaw was caught off-guard by Umesh Yadav’s fast delivery that took the leading edge off his blade and sailed into the hands of Mandeep Singh in backward point.

Mandeep was seen rejoicing in delight as it was a huge risk taken on Kohli’s part, who had given Umesh Yadav his third over in the powerplay itself. Umesh got his 100th IPL wicket in the form of Raina, which also meant that half of CSK’s threat had been dissolved. But, it was what happened next that would make the bigger headlines.

An excited ad over-animated Mandeep threw the ball up in the air, which was seen hitting the spider-cam hovering over the team gathering. Only three players realized it, Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal apart from Mandeep. While Mandeep caught the ball back after it hit the camera, Kohli looked petrified thinking his teammate had already done serious damage to the equipment.

While Kohli wouldn’t have too much problem paying for the damages, if caused any, Mandeep would surely find it difficult parting ways with some of his wages.
