With time, the entire Indian team has understood the biggest truth of the game ā never doubt MS Dhoni when it comes to reviewing, let alone challenging it. Today, that realisation, albeit later, saved India a review after Dhoni said that Hashim Amla didnāt nick the particular Jasprit Bumrah ball.

Today, once the game resumed for the third time after theĀ rain delay, on the fourth ball of the 8th over, one of Bumrah's angled balls jagged back into Amla. However, the South African opener was completely beaten by the pace and missed it by a whisker. However, the sound that came when theĀ ball passed the bat prompted Bumrah and other Indian fielders, including Dhoni, to appeal for the wicket, but umpire denied the same and ruled in the favour of Amla.
Dhoniās initial appeal meant India were nothing but sure about the dismissal and even Rohit Sharma asked Kohli to go for the review by making the DRS gesture and also Kohli looked like he was interested in going for the same. But Dhoni knew that there was no connection between the bat and ball and therefore shook his head in denial.
While the replays also agreed with the Dhoni, it actually turned out to be a good lesson for the Indian skipper and vice-captain and in retrospect, another validation of Dhoniās brilliant accuracy.
