MS Dhoni added a new feather to his cap on Sunday as he dismissed 50 players in the shortest format of the game by taking five catches against England in the third T20I. He effectively dismissed Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan and Liam Plunkett in his 93rd T20l to achieve it.

After a blistering start by England's Jason Roy, India's frustrations knew no limit when the first innings saw high catches being dropped by Siddharth Kaul and Yuzvendra Chahal. The voodoo was finally broken when Dhoni took a similar catch of Eoin Morgan that went high in the air and the former skipper had to stumble over the wickets to get it.

He ended the game with five catches and kept his stint of breaking records intact as by becoming the first wicket-keeper to have achieved fifty dismissals in the T20ls. In the last match, which was also on the eve of his 37th birthday, Dhoni had completed 500 International matches.

Dhoni now has 54 catches registered in his name. Dhoni was successful in dismissing Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow and Liam Plunkett. Restricting England at 198 /9 wickets, India went to on to conquer the T20l series to their name with a dominating win in the last T20l with the help of Rohit Sharma’s brilliant century.
