If there is one player who is giving his all and trying to make 'Pakistan Test great again', it has to be Azhar Ali. However, he has come to a point, where his claim to fame or shame - whatever you like to use it - is concerned, he has picked up the run-out route and today he did it again.

The first session of the second Test was very difficult for Pakistan and it was all about them trying to grind out the opposition and in the second session, they tried to showcase their prowess in how to capitalise on getting the better at attrition. Azhar Ali was at the centre of it in guiding the team in the company of Haris Sohail and looked set for a big one after completing the half-century.

However, he is Azhar Ali and he needs to live up to his new-found run-out reputation. So he did. When Ajaz Patel, on the last ball of the 71st over, bowled a tossed up delivery, he drove it and set off for a single straight away. However, there was never a run on offer and Sohail was never interested in that.

And when Tim Southee collected the ball, Ali almost crossed the half-way line and upon seeing Southee was ready to throw the ball, he decided to make a comeback. But it was too late by then as BJ Watling easily received the ball to uproot the stumps. Although in the beginning, it seemed alright, third umpire replay made sure that he hadn’t reached the batting crease by then and he was given out.
