Virat Kohli doesnât seem human sometimes, says Tamim Iqbal
Bangladesh's Tamim Iqbal has praised Virat Kohli by saying that the kind of performances that the Indian skipper puts in makes him question whether he is human. The statement comes in the wake of Kohli scoring a magnificent 140 off 107 balls to lead his side to victory against Windies at Guwahati.
The 29-year-old Indian Captain Virat Kohli is the world no.1 batsman in both the Test and ODI format right now. In the previous match against Windies, Kohli had a remarkable inning scoring 140 off 107 including twenty-one boundaries. In the awe of Virat Kohliâs batting prowess, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal stated that Indian captain does not seem human sometimes, as he enters the field it seems that he will score a hundred.Â
âI sometimes feel he is not human because of the way he performs, my goodness, the moment he comes out to bat, it looks like he is going to score a hundred every game,â Iqbal was quoted as saying by âKhaleej Times.
âThe way he looks after himself, the way he works on his game, itâs unbelievable. He is probably the number one in all three formats. He is someone to watch and admire and also learn from. I think he has been fantastic."
Kohli is just 81 runs short of becoming the fastest to reach 10,000 ODI runs. The record currently is in the name of the iconic Sachin Tendulkar, who played 259 innings to reach the milestone, while Kohli could get it done in 204 innings.Â
ââŚI have seen all the great players that have played the game in the past 12 years. They have their own strong points. But I havenât seen anyone that has dominated as much as Virat has,â Iqbal said.
