In hindsight, KL Rahul feels he shouldn’t have gone for that review

KL Rahul is upset about the fact that he went for the review which later came back to hunt India as MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik were adjudged LBW in wrong decisions. However, he stated that the confusion ensued as he felt his pad was outside the off-stump and might have missed the stumps altogether.
India began their run chase confidently with a magnificent partnership between KL Rahul and Ambati Rayudu, who made the most of the first power play to give India a strong base. However, a Rashid Khan delivery caught Rahul plumb in front and he went for a review which ended up being an unsuccessful one. But, the loss felt later as India didn’t have any reviews left when Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni were given out in controversial situations. And that made Rahul upset as he stated that he shouldn’t have taken the DRS.
“It's very tricky when you have just one review with you. Obviously, looking back at it, I felt like I shouldn't have taken the review but at that time, in the middle, I felt like maybe I was struck outside and I wanted to take that chance”, Rahul stated in a post-match conference,” Rahul was quoted as saying by Cricinfo.
“Sometimes you can sit back here and review the review you took. We learn with it. The shot I played, the review that I took, I'll have to go back and maybe if it happens again I'll be in a better position to know. I don't think we crumbled. When the ball starts slowing and spinning like that, it is hard for middle order batsmen to come in and get the runs going. I think DK (Dinesh Karthik) played really well and in the end, Jadeja and Deepak put up a decent fight.”
