Ashish Nehra believes that Royal Challengers Bangalore can surely bowl better in the upcoming matches and need to fire together in order to secure a win. He has further clarified that changing the batting order is a part and parcel of T20 cricket and these alterations will happen no matter what.

Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered yet another loss in the Indian Premier League as their top-order batting failure resulted in the team losing the plot from the very beginning. Add to that the bowling woes that the team suffered and it became almost non-negotiable for the batsmen to have a good game almost every time they stepped their feet on the field.

The issue magnified many folds last night when apart from Mohammed Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal, everyone was battered completely to put an end to RCB’s hopes. And the side's bowling coach Nehra has been of the opinion that bowlers could surely do better.

"The way Siraj and Chahal bowled today was really good. (Navdeep) Saini is just playing his second or third game and (Marcus) Stoinis is a batsman who can bowl. The bowling surely can do better, and if you see the last game, Warner and Bairstow took the game away from us," Nehra said after the game, reported PTI.

Umesh Yadav is an international bowler. He didn't bowl that well in the last 2-3 games. He bowled really well last year and you generally expect such players to do well. It is very unfair to expect any player to have a great tournament every year.”

RCB altered their batting line-up for the fourth time in the tournament and for the second time, Virat Kohli came out to open the innings. While there was hardly any change in fortune, Nehra said that it was not because of the batting order change.

"If you look at any franchise, there will be hardly one or two sides which have the likes of Bairstow and Warner who are in good nick and they are openers too. And if you look at the other teams, the batting order keeps shuffling. I have seen KKR where Nitish Rana did well at the top and they have changed that slot in the next game. And like we have seen many times with Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma doesn't open the batting. This is such a fast-paced game where you might lose a couple of games here and there and you have to think what those little alterations could be done. It's very difficult to go with the same eleven every time. If you see, Harbhajan (Singh) was the Man of the Match in the first game and he didn't get to play the third game which was also at the same venue (Chepauk),” Nehra said.

"You have to be on top of your game, There will be a few games where you play well and still end up on the losing side, and at the same time there will be games where you don't really perform up to the mark and still end up winning."

Royal Challengers Bangalore will aim for a change in fortune when they will take on Kolkata Knight Riders on April 5 at their home den of Chinnaswamy.
