BCCI ombudsman DK Jain has asked CAB President and Delhi Capitals advisor Sourav Ganguly to provide a written submission in a conflict of interest case against him. Three cricket fans from Bengal have raised questions regarding Ganguly’s dual role as CAB president and DC advisor at the same time.

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly found himself in a fix after being appointed as the advisor for Delhi Capitals prior to the start of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Ganguly is also serving as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and his stint with the DC has raised questions regarding his dual role. Three cricket fans from West Bengal had a complaint about the same.

On Saturday, Jain met Ganguly as well as the complainants in New Delhi for the conflict of interest matter. The meeting went on for three and a half hours after which, Jain asked all the parties involved to give written submissions ahead of his verdict.

“Matter is sub-judice. I have heard both the parties as well as the BCCI and will soon give my order. However, since hearing is over as per principles of natural justice, both parties can give their written submissions before the final order is pronounced,” Jain said after the meeting, reported IANS.

After the meeting, Ganguly asserted that the meeting went ‘well’. Delhi Capitals are scheduled to play Kings XI Punjab in their next encounter at home tonight.
