According to TOI reports, the Mumbai Indians franchise has spoken to the BCCI and has requested to board to speed up the investigation in the Pandya incident. Pandya and KL Rahul are now under suspension after they had appeared in the chat show “Koffee with Karan” and Pandya had made misogynistic comments on women. This created a huge uproar in the social media and the duo was called back from the Australian tour.

Earlier, COA chairman Vinod Rai had suggested a two-match ban for both the players but one of the members of the committee Diana Edulji had demanded a proper probe. Some former players including Sourav Ganguly have also said that the duo should be punished and the matter should be closed. On the other hand, BCCI acting president C K Khanna wanted to allow them to continue playing till the end of the enquiry.
