Imagine scolding someone for a mistake, but you end up making one yourself, only to be scolded by the person you just gave a dressing down. Rishabh Pant did just that as after slamming Kuldeep Yadav for a mistake, he missed a catch on the next ball, just to be slammed in the same way by Kuldeep.

Cricket is a funny game, but at times, it is cruel as well. Ask Rishabh Pant, and he would tell you. He is always on the comparison scale with MS Dhoni - one of the best practitioner of the sport - he had a monkey on his back and to release it, he had to pull off something incredible on the field. He failed to do anything of that sort so far but ended up getting a taste of his own medicine.

On the second ball of the 32nd over, Peter Handscomb ran down to the wicket to smash Kuldeep Yadav on the up and chipped it to mid-wicket with the spin being on the shot’s direction. Kedar Jadhav and Shikhar Dhawan made a tag-team effort to stop a couple of runs for the team. However, with the ball not turning much, bowling full balls was a suicidal option and seeing Kuldeep bowling such deliveries, Pant couldn’t control himself and said, “Abey Yaar” in a statement to stop the wrist-spinner from doing such things.

He hardly thought that it would come to haunt him on the very next ball of the over.

Kuldeep imparted top-spin on the next delivery and the added bounce resulted in Peter Handscomb having a faint edge on it. Keeping close to the body, Pant was not ready for the extra bounce on the googly that it would offer and as a result, he ended up missing it altogether. The ball eventually went for a four and Kuldeep was seen uttering the same words that Pant did just a while ago.
