The difference between a good and great player lies in the small moments that will test a player's character in tough situations. JP Duminy saved himself from major embarrassment after dropping a catch as he quickly recovered to produce a superb run-out to dismiss Dhananjaya de Silva.

Sri Lanka slumped to their second consecutive loss in the three-match T20I series against South Africa on Friday as they lost by 16 runs at the Centurion on Friday. A late fightback from Lanka’s Isuru Udana was not enough to keep the visitors in the series as the home team took an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Lasith Malinga & Co. put in a decent performance last night but unfortunately did not do enough to down the dominating South Africans. Meanwhile, JP Duminy and the rest of the South African team deservedly earned a win after Reeza Hendricks (65) and Rassie Van der Dussen (64) impressed in the first innings.

Duminy, who added a quickfire 33* off 17 deliveries, was active in the field as well as he was influential in the dismissal of Dhananjaya de Silva who was run-out in the 14th over. It was not that a difficult catch for the veteran, but he made a mess of it to give Udana a life as he appeared to have lost ball in the lights as it was hit fairly high in the air.

However, he had a chance to redeem himself as he managed to quickly regain his composure and succeeded in hitting the bull's eye from a side-on angle. The Proteas skipper only had one stump to aim at and he did so while diving forward to attempt a run-out. While he seemed to have made the hit at the perfect time, the umpire had a confusing look at it and even took his own sweet time to go upstairs. The replay suggested that it was a clear dismissal as Dhananjay's bat was out of the crease at the same time, which meant the umpire called him out.
