Sunrisers Hyderabad would curse their luck after their failure to capitalise on the last eight overs - both during batting and bowling - which resulted in the team losing from a winning position. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shakib Al Hasan were the main culprits for their terrible bowling display.

Jonny Bairstow (7.5/10): A beamer to start his IPL career, Jonny Bairstow had a decent outing with the bat, but most importantly, his support act to Warner was the biggest contribution by the Englishman. His strike rate of 111 might be held against him, but in the context of the innings, it was a good as a half-century.
Vijay Shankar (8/10): What a cricketer Vijay Shankar is turning out to be! After proving his mettle with the India
Yusuf Pathan (3/10): It was not the kind of batting display for which Pathan was paid heavily for. Literally, there was no hand-eye coordination and his disturbing level of fitness was evident on the ball he was dismissed. Coming down the order for a late charge responsibility, his batting was hardly a representation of the thing he was assigned for. The dropped Rana catch would also haunt him when he hits the sack tonight.
Manish Pandey (6/10): Pandey didn’t have much to do and with Shankar going strong, he gave some support in the last three overs, to help the team reach 181. Nothing much to judge on the basis of his batting actually.
Deepak Hooda (6/10): Didn’t get to bat. Didn’t get to bowl even and was almost invisible in the field today.
Shakib Al Hasan (3/10): The former KKR star, who got the
Rashid Khan (8/10): The most valuable T20 player of the generation, Rashid Khan conceded 26 runs to keep the team in the search for a win, but others messed it up. The kind of balls that Rashid was delivering, it could have worked as a lesson for others, yes for pacers too, that one needs to keep the attacking length no matter what when you are defending a total as good as 182. Unfortunate that he ended on the losing side.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4/10): The Indian pacer seemed entirely clueless with his tactical nous on his captaincy debut and giving Shakib al Hasan was the last nail in the coffin. Why would you keep Vijay Shankar and not give him an over? Well, his own bowling was also not close to the best as he kept bowling a wide line despite knowing that Russell was hitting on that region easily.
Sandeep Sharma (3/10): After losing his pace, it has become almost evident that Sandeep Sharma is no more a threat. His slower ball, which used to be his calling card for wickets, has now become a hit or miss delivery and Kolkata took the maximum benefit of that by accumulating 42 runs from his quota of overs.
Siddarth Kaul (5/10): Kaul was comparatively better in his approach today as he brought the off-cutter to the fore, which means KKR have very little room to tackle with. His last over disturbed his economy, but then again, Andre Russell had turned a different beast to tackle by then.
