Bangladesh have made as many as five changes to their squad after Afghanistan loss and brought in pacers Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam for their third and fourth matches of the ongoing T20I tri-series. The selectors have also brought in uncapped Mohammad Naim and Aminul Islam Biplob to the squad.

Bangladesh picked up a thrilling win over Zimbabwe in the first game of the tournament but lost to Afghanistan comfortably by 25 runs on Sunday after a Mohammed Nabi mayhem. The loss resulted in Bangladesh making a host of changes to their squad as they brought back experienced pacemen Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam for their third and fourth matches of the ongoing T20I tri-series.

However, that means Soumya Sarkar, who had a poor World Cup and extended his difficult form to the tri-series, has suffered the axe alongside off-spinner Mahedi Hasan. Pacemen Abu Hider and Yeasin Arafat have also been shown the door after failing to prove themselves. Apart from Rubel and Shafiul, Bangladesh have drafted in Najmul Hossain and Aminul Islam, and exciting young opening batsman Mohammad Naim.

Najmul has played two Test matches and three ODIs for Bangladesh and was recently in the team for Bangladesh Emerging Team's tour of Sri Lanka. Aminul was also on that tour, but didn't do much of note and might get a chance in the series to showcase his credentials. Like Aminul, Naim is uncapped at the international level but made a name for himself in last season's Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, scoring 807 runs in 16 games for Legends of Rupganj to finish second on the run-scorers' list.

Squad: Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Liton Das, Afif Hossain, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Naim Shaikh, Aminul Islam, Najmul Hossain
