Adding to his points format trophy that he won two days back, Indian cueist Pankaj Advani bagged the longer format crown at the World Billiards Championships being played in Yangon, Myanmar. With the twin titles at the current championship, Advani’s world title tally has moved up to 21.

Advani thrashed his Indian opponent B Bhasker in a one-sided summit clash 1500-299 to register fourth double of his professional career. Advani dominated the game from the very beginning as he got a wonderful break of 190 after a poor start by Bhasker. He then scored 171, 86, 92 and 134 in quick succession and fired 198 after that to take a big lead against the two-time Asian silver medallist.

Advani continued his dominance and he crossed 1000 mark with Bhaskar still at 206 with a deficit of around 800 points. Advani then registered 165, 66 and 89 to grab the title as Bhaskar could only manage a 64 and 58 in the entire battle.

"I'm felling on top of the world after my fourth grand double in billiards," Advani said after the game. TOI reported.

"It was the toughest field with the likes of Bhaskar, Causier and Russell in it and to come out on top is simply unreal. I'm really thrilled to win my 21st world championship gold and am now looking forward to defending my snooker title over the next 10 days here.”

Advani, who is the only player in the world to play both billiards and snooker, has been dominating the IBSF circuit in both disciplines by winning championships one after the other with ease.
