Arsenal missed out on a chance to the top of the points table after Harry Kane rescued a point for Mauricio Pochettino's men after Arsenal took the lead through Kevin Wimmer's own goal. For an entertaining game where numerous chances were created, glaring defensive mistakes ended the game at 1-1.

Tottenham:

Hugo Lloris: 6.5

Could have done nothing to stop that first own goal from Kevin Wimmer. But made some good saves after the horror show from Wimmer. Was his assured self in the second half.

Kyle Walker: 4.5

His positioning higher up the pitch dragged Eric Dier out of position when Arsenal countered with pace. Was vastly unsuccessful in his battle against Monreal.

Jan Vertonghen: 7

Was caught in a constant battle with Walcott which the Belgian managed to come out on top. But the centre-half was solid covering up for the dreadful defending from Wimmer. Also made life difficult for Sanchez throughout the game.

Kevin Wimmer: 3

The 24-year old had a horrendous outing on his first North London Derby first getting booked then scoring an own goal giving Arsenal the lead. Although he was unlucky to have had two offside Arsenal players there.

Danny Rose: 6

The left-back good on the offensive and did not leave much room for Bellerin initially. Defensively, the England international was out of place whenever Ozil drifted wide allowing Bellerin to get inside.

Eric Dier: 5.5

Played as the third centre-back when Tottenham brought the ball out of the back, but struggled to match the pace of Sanchez during Arsenal’s counter attacks. But change of plans from Pochettino in the second half helped him play his usual creating game.

Son Heung-min: 8

Was a constant threat in the final third with his pace and directness. His switch-play and runs caused a lot confusion among the Arsenal backline.

Victor Wanyama: 6

His battle with Coquelin helped Tottenham cut off the supply lines to Sanchez and  Iwobi initially. But was unable to plug the holes in the midfield whenever Bellerin pushed forward.

Mousa Dembélé: 5.5

Partnered Eric Dier excellently in the first 20 minutes to put Xhaka and Coquelin in check. But was unable to break down Arsenal’s direct play after the initial success in the midfield.

Christian Eriksen: 8.5

The Dane was excellent with his runs down through the centre and exchanging positions with Son constantly. Almost scored the winner for the visitors if not for his free-kick to hit the woodwork.

Harry Kane: 7

Missed a good chance in the first half following some great work by Son and Eriksen. Was hauled off the ball easily by Mustafi but unable to take advantage when the centre-back’s mistakes. Made no mistake when presented with the chance to take the penalty.

Vincent Janssen: 3

Unable to improve Tottenham’s attack after coming on for Kane in the 73rd minute.

Kieran Trippier: 6

Did a decent job replacing Walker at the right-back. Made a good clearance to deny Sanchez a shot at the goal in the dying minutes of the game.

Harry Winks: 3

The forward did not have much time to do anything after coming on for Son at the end of regular time.

Arsenal

Petr Cech: 6.5

Was let down by Koscielny’s foul as Kane’s spot-kick was flawless. Did well whenever called into action including a super save off Eriksen’s shot in the second half.

Hector Bellerin: 6

The Spaniard was excellent going forward, but looked out of place whenever Eriksen and Kane exchanged passes on the right. Made an excellent tackle to deny Son a shot at goal in the early part of second half.

Shkodran Mustafi: 4

The German international was the better of the Gunner central defenders but his game was riddled with some poor clearances putting Cech in danger on multiple occasions. Looked confused in his marking of Kane and Eriksen.

Laurent Koscielny: 3

Came out second best with his duels against Son and Eriksen. Committed an unneccessary foul to gift Spurs a chance to comeback into the goal. Bad game for the Frenchman.

Nacho Monreal: 8.5

Thwarted Harry Kane a clear opportunity at the near post with a brilliant last-ditch tackle in the second half. Was clinical with his passing while going on the overlap and handled the threat Walker with a level head.

Francis Coquelin: 7

Was initially outnumbered by the likes of Wanyama, Dier and Dembele in the middle but grew into the game after the first 25 minutes. Put in some crunching tackles to break Tottenham’s momentum.

Granit Xhaka: 6.5

The Swiss international had some interesting duels in the engine room once Arsenal pushed on the accelerator in the first half. Did well to win some crucial interceptions helping the Gunners build some good attacks.

Theo Walcott: 4

Made a mess of a good chance at the near post in the first half. The Englishman was left frustrated by the likes of Dembele and Vertonghen. He also made a mess of a promising move with an instinctive  back-heeled interception on a promising Arsenal counter.

Mesut Ozil: 7.5

Sprung into life at the half hour mark knitting some great passes with Walcott and Bellerin. Managed to meet his usual creative standards. Great performance by the German.

Alex Iwobi: 4

His play down the left flank slowed down the play for Arsenal at times. Missed a clear chance in the first half. Was replaced by Giroud with 20 minutes from time.

Alexis Sanchez: 5

Though not at his best on the day, the Chilean did some good work creating chances upfront for his fellow attackers. Was unable to get the better of Wimmer and Vertonghen when supplied with the final ball.

Aaron Ramsey: 6

Came on for Coquelin in the 70th minute and helped Arsenal maintain their tempo. Also went for a couple of shots from the distance.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: 4

Was unable to affect the game after coming on for Walcott as he was subdued by Wimmer and Vertonghen. His audacious shots from difficult angles did not help Arsenal’s cause.
