Barcelona U-12 team was nominated for the best sporting moment of the year 2016 for the incredible sportsman spirit they displayed at the Junior Soccer World Challenge in Tokyo on Aug 31. After beating Japanese club Omiya Ardija Junior 1-0, the Barcelona kids went and consoled the rival players.
The Japanese kids dropped to the ground and cried after the final whistle, while their opponents celebrated. Shortly after that, the Barca U-12s personally comforted each member of the opposition.
The Spanish giants are arguably one of the most famous clubs in the world soccer, and their La Masia academy has produced many a superstar over the years.
Here the Barca kids showed that soccer is more than just success on the field.
