Delhi Dynamos have announced the signing of the Serbian striker Andrija Kaluderovic to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League. Kaluderovic has previously had stints in Serbia, China, Spain, Switzerland, Lithuania, and Australia and has even been capped by Serbia.

The 31-year-old lanky striker earned a place in the Indian club after a decent season with A-League side Wellington Phoenix where he finished as the club’s top scorer with nine goals in 23 appearances. He became Delhi’s fourth foreign signing of the season, with midfielders Rene Mihelic, Marcos Tebar, and goalkeeper Francisco Dorronsoro already signed up.

Speaking of Kaluderovic, Delhi’s head coach Josep Gombau said that the Serbian striker is very intelligent and he has seen him play well in both the league and Continental Cups as well. He felt that Kaluderovic’s experience will come in handy and help the Dynamos in the upcoming season.

“Andrija is a very intelligent player who is quick and a good finisher. I have seen him play in the Australian league and he has performed consistently well in both the league and the continental cups as well. He has a great mentality and experience which will really help the side,” Gombau said.

Kaluderovic, too, was excited to get the opportunity and wanted to give his best for his new team. He felt that ISL had become very popular among the foreign players and he was not a stranger to this competition.

“I am excited to have joined a new league and a new team in Delhi Dynamos. The popularity of ISL is for everyone to see and a lot of foreign players have shown interest. I do not think I am a stranger to this competition. I want to give my best and hopefully we will have a good season,” Kaluderovic said.
