Mumbai City FC head coach Jorge Costa has stated that his boys are doing an amazing job and he is proud of the way his team goes about its business. In the mid-way through this Indian Super League season, the Mumbai team has looked like one of the better sides in the tournament so far.
Mumbai City FC defeated a clueless Chennaiyin FC 2-0 in what ended as a disappointing match for the Chennai based club. With 20 points from half the number of matches Mumbai City hold the second spot on the points table and look strong contenders for one of the playoff
“It was a good game. We did what we normally do and the players since the first minute of the season until now are doing an amazing job. They are doing everything I asked them to do. Costa also updated about the injury which his player Fernandes suffered during the match and stated that it was a knee injury. Raynier Fernandes scored a goal for Mumbai in the 27th minute of the game to them the lead.

It has not been a good season for Chennaiyin FC and yesterday’s match was no different. Chennaiyin Coach John Gregory asserted that they did not take advantage of the chances they got and hence ended up on the losing side.
