Ever thought what would Cristiano Ronaldo have been had he not chanced upon football as his career? Well, hold your thought, because it isn’t very pleasant. The Juventus star was present at Novak Djokovic’s ATP finals game and tried catching a ball, which turned out to be an embarrassing experience.

Ronaldo’s love for the game of tennis is no secret. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star was previously spotted attending the match of Rafael Nadal in last year’s Mutua Madrid Open, where the Spaniard had defeated Djokovic in the semi-finals. This time he was present in London at the ATP Finals match between Djoker and America’s John Isner.

During the match, the ball was seen bouncing into the stands where Ronaldo was seen sitting with his wife Georgina Rodrguez and his son. The ball looked to go across the three when Ronaldo stretching himself to get a hold of it. But, the ball seemed to bounce off his palm, deflect off a chair handle and go behind after bouncing off his wife’s head. Eventually, his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, plucked it out from under the chair and returned it to the court.

Djokovic, who beat Isner 6-4, 6-3 in the group stages, said after the game, “It is great to have big football star like him, courtside watching tennis. He used to come and watch Rafa (Rafael Nadal), Roger (Federer) and myself in Madrid. He’s a fan of tennis. He’s one of the biggest sports stars in the last decade. It is great for our sport to have him. I saw he was there with his family. Didn’t get a chance to see him after the match, but hopefully, I’ll have that chance maybe later this week,” reported ANI.
