Five Spanish coaches, who are working for Indian Super League franchises, have travelled to Spain to take part in a two-day refresher course on October 8th and 9th. There they will also have the opportunity to meet Spanish football managers Unai Emery and Argentine Mauricio Pochettino.

While Bengaluru FC's Carles Cuadrat and Jamshedpur FC's Cesar Ferrando went to Spain after they faced each other on Sunday, Delhi Dynamos' Josep Gombau, FC Pune City's Miguel Angel Portugal, and FC Goa's Sergio Lobera had already left for the said programme earlier. The programme has been organised by the Spanish Football Association, which is known as Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF).

This would be the third such event, which will be held at La Ciudad del Fútbol, the Spanish FA's training facility in Las Rozas de Madrid on October 8 and 9. It would be a nice learning interaction for the coaches where they can learn from the best in business.

As many as 600 coaches are expected to attend the event with speakers’ list including the Head of UEFA's football education services Frank Rudolph and RFEF president Luis Rubiales, Spanish national team coach Luis Enrique, Manchester City's technical staff including Mikel Arteta, Luis Garcia, Unai Emery, Mauricio Pochettino and Javi Gracía would also be present there.
