Kerala Blasters will host Delhi Dynamos this evening as both the sides look desperately for a win. While Josep Gompau’s Delhi lost the last match at home against ATK, Kerala come to the game at the back of a disheartening draw against Jamshedpur FC, when they conceded three minutes into added time.
The only advantage for Kerala would their position on the table. Their first day win against ATK away from the home still keeps them in the top four with David James hardly under pressure for the ywllow army has played positive football riding on the wings of Holicharan Narzary and Doungel. Poplatnik has also been a goof find for the side, whose industrious forward role has kept Blasters a dominant force in the attacking third.
With just one point in two games, Gompau would be under tremendous pressure and would be experimenting with his team too. He has previously complained about his side’s poor finishing and the problem still persists for the Spaniard. Unlike Blasters’ Poplatnik, Delhi’s Andrija Kaludjerovic is yet to prove his mettle and Gompau would hope it happens today.
