Liverpool are eyeing a move for Bordeaux attacker Francois Kamano this summer, as Jurgen Klopp looks to reinforce his front-line. The Reds finished last season by winning the Champions League but have failed to make any major additions to their squad so far, with Jurgen Klopp happy with his group.

After a successful campaign in both the Champions League and the Premier League, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a team in place to repeat that success this season. However, they failed to make any major additions, instead adding youngsters Sepp Van den Berg and Harvey Elliot. But that might change with the Sun reporting that the Reds are keen on signing the highly-rated Guinea striker Francois Kamano.

A versatile striker, Kamano finished last season with 10 goals to his name in the Ligue 1  alone and with the transfer window closing soon, Liverpool are trying to get a move done as soon as possible. Klopp is looking to add to their attacking depth for the upcoming season where they try to defend their Champions League crown and mount a title challenge as well.

Even though Mohammad Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been in great form having provided for Liverpool on a consistent basis, Klopp feels he would require an extra man to help out in times of need as the season progresses.

Daniel Sturridge has left the club, and that leaves without adequate cover to their front-line in case of an injury, which will allow Kamano to make a big impact. As it will release some of the load on the Liverpool players who will have to feature in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup as well as the FIFA Club World Cup, playing nearly 70 odd games.
