Dejan Lovren's stint with Liverpool may have come to an end as he looks to move away from the Premier League. Facing heavy competition from Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, the 30-year-old has reportedly said that his time in England is over, and he'll look ahead to new challenges.

Reports coming from Italy suggest that Roma could be Dejan Lovren next club, with the Croatian heavily linked. The 30-year-old is determined to revive his career elsewhere, with Paulo Fonseca's team surging as a strong contender to land him. AC Milan was keen on a move for the 2018 World Cup finalist but backed out after learning his wage demands.

Roma have faced the same issue, but the centre-back is now willing to lower his earnings to make it work for both clubs, according to the Daily Mail. He joined Liverpool in 2013 for a fee of €20 million, securing a starting spot at Anfield. Times have now changed and things look quite different with the arrival of Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez's rise, becoming Jurgen Klopp's first-team pair.

Lovren on the other hand, is very hopeful of a move to the Stadío Olímpico thanks to Kostas Manolas' leaving for Napoli, thus fixing Roma's defensive issues. The former Reds captain has made 170 appearances, netting 7 goals but if the deal does go through, then it leaves Klopp with only three centre-backs to attack all the competitions his team will play in.
