The Premier League is back and it’s not a moment too soon, with a Friday game once again but we’re not complaining. But, Saturday is where the action lies with four of the Big Six sides playing including an iconic clash between Arsenal and Liverpool before Sunday brings us something boring and easy.
Football is back and it’s back all around the world, with the Italian top tier joining our ranks this weekend. Juventus take on Parma in the first game of the 2019/20 season, Schalke 04 take on Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig battle Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, Barcelona face Real Betis in Spain, while the Ligue 1 sees OGC Nice face Marseille. It's an action-packed weekend of football and one that must not be missed.
However, the Premier League is our main focus and while the Friday night game may not be the biggest one of Gameweek, it’s an interesting clash between Aston Villa and Everton. The marquee game, the one we really want to watch, the one that lives are planned around and the one that the world revolves around is on Saturday night in an iconic, heart-breaking fixture when Liverpool host Arsenal in the 10 pm kick-off.
That’s the game that we are looking towards, but with four of the Big Six sides playing on Saturday, we are not starved for action. Sunday has nothing, with nothing but boring boring football via Tottenham, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers. But this is the Premier League, where nothing is boring and every single game has heart-stopping action.
It should be fun, entertaining, exciting and a bag full of other adjectives.
