Manchester United are eyeing a move for Dinamo Zagreb star Dominik Livakovic as they continue their search for a replacement for David De Gea. The Spaniard has yet to sign a new deal with the club, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season, leaving them with no first-team option.

While Manchester United and David De Gea have come to an agreement over a new deal that will see him become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world, the Spaniard is yet to sign it. The deal has reportedly been on the table for weeks, with the 28-year-old yet to sign the agreement with the Red Devils and that has created a problem for the club.

It would mean that by January 2020, De Gea will be able to talk to clubs outside England over a potential move, a move that will see Manchester United get no transfer fee. Simply because the Spaniard has just one year left on his current contract with the Red Devils and that has caused problems. However, the Sun has reported that Manchester United believe that Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic is the perfect replacement.

The 24-year-old was a part of Croatia’s 2018 World Cup squad and has now taken over from Danijel Subasic as his country’s first choice. Furthermore, the Croatian is Dinamo Zagreb’s first-choice goalkeeper and has played a crucial part in his side winning back-to-back titles.

The Sun further added that Tottenham was considering a move for Livakovic but decided to opt-out as Zagreb was/are asking for around ÂŁ15-ÂŁ20 million for the goalkeeper.
