Delhi Dynamos have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season as they have now roped in Spanish defender Carlos Delgado after they had to part ways with Gianni Zuiverloon and Marti Crespi. The Dynamos have already roped in big names likes Xisco Hernandez and Martin Perez Guedes.

After the ISL season ended last time, the club from the capital city had 18 points from 18 games with the side shipping in as many as 27 goals under the tutelage of the then new manager Josep Gombau. However, quite surprisingly, the Spaniard has managed to keep his job and is looking to shore up the backline.

With their two first-team centre halves leaving the club, Delgado would be a welcome addition for the upcoming 2019-20 season given the blend of experience and peak abilities the player would be bringing. Starting his career with Spanish side Malaga CF, the player debuted more than years back in the 2007-08 season with the 'B' side.

He moved to Netherland side Sparta Rotterdam and after it didn’t amount to much before he came back to join Real Valladolid. But, he was loaned back to Holland before Spanish giants Valencia showed interest in 2012 even if he was only part of their 'B' system.

While his two-year stint with Valencia was nothing exception following which he also played for Leganes and Recreativo, he helped Albacete Balompié to get promotion to the second division as captain in 2016-17, which was an early positive. He had signed up a three-year deal with CD Castellon but decided to move to India after only one season.

Dynamos have also retained Marcos Tebar, which would take the club’s Spanish Armada to three players and should have good communication with the head coach.
