Bayern Munich are one the brink of making a formal bid for La Liga star Marc Roca with the Bavarians looking to refresh their stable. The Bundesliga Champions have been in negotiations with Espanyol for quite some-time now, with the Spanish side demanding that Roca’s release clause get paid.

With an era defined by the likes of Matt Hummels, Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery, Arturo Vidal, and Rafinha itching to an end, Bayern Munich are preparing for the future. The sheer fact that Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman played a large part of the last season alongside Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, and Niklas Sule, only show that they are looking farther.

Not just that, with the additions of Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez, Jann-Fiete Arp and their persisting interest in Leroy Sane further emphasise on that. Now to shore up their midfield, the German side have finally made their interests clear by targeting U-21 star Marc Roca.

Sky Sports has reported that the Germans are set to make a formal offer for the La Liga midfielder. The 22-year-old, who played a reasonably big part for Spain in the European Championship final last month, has also made a consistent impact for Espanyol over the last few seasons.

That has seen Bayern take a keen interest with the two sides now trying to hammer out an agreement for the young midfielder. The only issue is the fact that Bayern wants to pay around €30 million, while Espanyol are demanding that his €40 million release clause be paid out in full.
