Transfer rumors are a dime a dozen but the transfer window doesn’t last forever and watching clubs panic before the deadline is a big part of the entertainment. Things have gone quiet, but expect a few panic moves, a few well thought ones and more than a few never-gonna-happen ones.

Tottenham inch closer to signing Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham are inching closer to a move for Real Betis man Giovani Lo Celso with Spurs confident that they can get the La Liga side to knock down his ÂŁ60 million price tag. That belief comes from the fact that Betis have signed Nabil Fekir as a replacement and the Sun reports that Real Betis will accept a lower bid for the former PSG midfielder.

If he does join, it would mark the greatest window that Tottenham have ever had. Not to mention this will be the most money they've ever spent on players since they lost Gareth Bale.

Borussia Dortmund on the verge of signing Diadie Samassekou

They’ve had a fantastic transfer window so far, reinforcing key areas for absolutely nothing, and it seems that Dortmund are still not done. Reports from Austria have revealed that RB Salzburg midfielder Diadie Samassekou is on his way to Signal Iduna Park. The 23-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League and Serie A but Dortmund might just have the upper hand.

Arsenal to announce Dani Ceballos and William Saliba tomorrow

The transfer window has finally started, at least for Arsenal with Mirror reporting that the Gunners are set to announce both Dani Ceballos and William Saliba on Thursday. While the Spanish midfielder will arrive on a season-long loan spell, Saliba will be loaned back to Saint Etienne for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

But given their defensive issues, maybe they can send Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi the other way and keep Saliba?

Philippe Coutinho back to Liverpool again?

It’s never going to stop at least till the transfer window slams shut and even that isn’t a guarantee when it comes to this. The Brazilian left the Reds to win the Champions League and less than two years later, Liverpool went on to win the Champions League. Now, Coutinho wants to come back according to the North Wales Live and Liverpool really don’t want him nor can they afford him.

Barcelona eye a massive influx of cash via player sales

Spending absurd amounts of money just isn't enough for Barcelona. Now they want to sell them for equally absurd amounts of money, with ESPN reporting that the La Liga giants eye ÂŁ150 million worth of player sales before the summer window ends. The list includes Coutinho, Malcom and Rafinha Alcantara with bids being considered for Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.

There have been no bids so far, but the club is “optimistic” there will be a few suitors before the window ends.
