Salva Chamorro to play for Mohun Bagan in 2019-20
Mohun Bagan have signed in Spanish forward Salva Chamorro for the 2019-20 edition of the Indian domestic football. The former I-League champion club from Kolkata have announced the signing of the Spaniard, who had previously played for the Villarreal B and C teams, on Wednesday.
In a major signing for Mohun Bagan, Salva Chamorro will now play for the Kolkata-based club in the next season of Indian domestic football. Chamorro had played for the B and C teams of Villarreal in the past. He also has the experience of playing club football in countries like Portugal, Greece and Hong Kong. He will now join Mohun Bagan from Doxa Drama FC, a second tier Greek football club.

"I am really looking forward to this challenge. I never had any doubts in mind after I spoke with (head coach) Kibu Vicuna and read about the legacy of Mohun Bagan. I am looking forward to get started," Chamorro said in a media statement as per the PTI.
The Spaniard has also represented Barcelona B team and played in the Segunda Divison and Segunda Divison B in Spain. The 29-year-old from Orihuela in Spain scored 11 goals in Segunda Division B in 2013-14 and helped UE Llagostera become champions in that edition.
