Minerva Punjab owner has accused Kushal Das for the latter’s “conflict of interest” while the Master Rights Agreement was signed between the All India Football Federation and IMG Reliance Pvt. Limited in 2010. Bajaj has mentioned that Das was an IMG Reliance employee days before joining the AIFF.

As AIFF general secretary Kushal Das had made it clear that the Indian Super League will be declared the top league of the country very soon citing the Master Rights Agreement, Minerva Punjab owner Ranjit Bajaj has accused Das for his involvement in the entire process of signing the agreement. Bajaj took to Twitter and has posted photographs of the agreement between the federation and IMG Reliance.

The Minerva owner has stated that Das was an employee of IMG a few days before taking the post in the AIFF. He also highlighted that the contract didn’t have a date and cited this is the reason for his conflict of interest allegations against Das. Das had joined the AIFF as the general secretary in October 2010 and the contract was also signed in the same month, as per the Minerva Punjab owner.

“No date on the contract. Reason? Mr. Kushal Das was an employee of IMG RELIANCE days before he was planted in AIFF to sign this deal on behalf of AIFF. He was appointed GS in October 2010, #illegalMRA also signed in same month Oct 2010!!! CONFLICT OF INTEREST #FootballScam,” Bajaj wrote on Twitter.

“How can KUSHAL DAS an ex-employee of IMG RELIANCE join AIFF as GS and within a matter of days sign a deal on behalf of AIFF selling @IndianFootball @ILeagueOfficial just days after being appointed 🤔🤔#FootballScam #IllegalMRA.”

One of the pages of the contract with a sub-headline of “New League” read : “The league which the company intends to establish as the most senior and prestigious football league in India (in consultation with AIFF as contemplated under this Agreement) whether by way of reorganising or reconstituting any existing competition (such as the I-League) or the establishment of an entirely new league or otherwise and “New League Rights” shall have the meaning in schedule 7.”
