Further strikes from Dimas Delgado and Sunil Chhetri led the home team to a deserved win as they overturned the 2-1 defeat from the first leg. The aggregate score read 4-2 in favour of Bengaluru, who will shift their focus on winning the ISL title on in the final against FC Goa on Sunday. However, star striker Miku hopes that luck will be with his team this year as compared to the last one.

"It’s an amazing sensation. The second year in a row we’ve won the regular league and also reached the final. We hope this season, we have a different final from the last season. We are very happy today. We have a great team. Everybody worked very hard. NorthEast United FC had a great season but in the end, there can only be one team and it is us.

"Amazing! Amazing support! This season, they will travel to Mumbai to see the final. We hope to have a great crowd there because we need a lot of help. They are our 12th player and they know that," Miku told reporters post the win against NEUFC.
