Glen Johnson has advised Harry Kane to consider his future at Tottenham and try to move to Manchester City if he wants a better chance at winning trophies. The former Arsenal youth star has done exceptionally well at Tottenham but has struggled to win trophies and accolades with the club.

Former England right-back Glen Johnson has advised Harry Kane into considering his future at his current club and try to move to Manchester City if he wants a better chance at winning trophies. Independent's report states that Johnson is a big fan of Kane and wants to see him win trophies but for winning he'll have to move to a better club, preferably Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

"If I was in Harry’s shoes, I would think that I can play elsewhere and have a much better chance of playing with better players and adding trophies to my cabinet. In a couple of years his goals could dry up at Spurs and he’d be out the door. There’s no loyalties in football and he has to look after himself first and foremost,” Glen Johnson told BetDaq.

Despite Spurs' on-field shortcomings, Kane has had a good start to his season. He has scored 7 goals in 10 games across all competitions. He has been successful in maintaining his fine form but the performances haven't affected Tottenham's fate. Over the last few years the English superstar has been linked to almost every major club across Europe.

From Real Madrid to Barcelona, from Manchester United to PSG, Kane has been on everyone's wishlist. Johnson feels Kane will be better serving Manchester City, but admits that he may have to wait until Sergio Aguero leaves the club. Sergio Aguero has been by far one of the most complete and best strikers in the Premier League scoring 172 goals in 247 league appearances.

"I don’t think he’d be suited to the Spanish style of playing, so he might have to wait for Sergio Aguero to move on at City before going there. But it’s not out of the question that could happen in my opinion. If I was Harry, I know what I’d do, I’d be moving on for the sake of my career to win as much as I could," concluded Johnson
