The Haryana Steelers will kick off their home leg of the sixth season of the Pro Kabaddi League today as they get ready to face last year’s finalist Gujarat Fortunegiants. After Surender Nada’s injury, Monu Goyat has been given the responsibility to lead the Haryana Steelers side.

The team from Haryana will play their first home game today in Sonepat and they will want to win their first game of the season in front of their home crowd. Their show wasn’t that good in the first game against Puneri Paltan and they would want to rectify their mistakes from the previous game. Monu didn’t play the first game because of an injury but now he is back to lead the side in the absence of Surender Nada. A lot will depend on Wazir Singh and Vikash Kandola to put up a good show for the home team today. 

The finalists from the last season – Gujarat Fortunegiants tied their first match against Dabang Delhi 32-32 in Chennai and they will also look forward to register their first win of the season against Haryana. Rohit Gulia had a good day at the office and so was Prapanjan and both of them will try to take charge of the raiding department properly. Skipper Sunil Kumar will take the major responsibility of the defence unit in the Gujarat side.
