Pro Kabaddi League 2018 | Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas to clash on opening day

The sixth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League is scheduled to kick-off on October 7 and will see defending champions, Patna Pirates, take on Tamil Thalaivas as the former set out to win their fourth title. Haryana Steelers will take on Puneri Paltans in the fifth match of the season on October 8.

The 2018 edition of the Pro Kabaddi League is scheduled to begin on October 8 and the teams are entering the final stages of their preparation as they gear up for a thrilling season ahead. Patna Pirates, who were the champions in 2017, will kick-off proceedings in the this year’s campaign against Tamil Thalaivas on the opening day of the tournament.

That will be followed by a game between Puneri Paltan and  U Mumba will lock horns in the second game of the sixth edition on the same day in Chennai itself. The fixtures for were announced by PKL organisers Mashal Sports Pvt Ltd. The league’s  highest paid player, Monu Goyat will begin his outing for Haryana Steelers as they take on Puneri Paltans in the fifth match of the season on October 8.

The tournament will go on from October to January, with the play-offs starting on December 30. The play-offs would be held as planned in Kochi on December 30-31 while the finals will be played on January 5 next year in Mumbai, the organisers announced. The matches will be telecast on Star Sports network.
