Bengaluru coach Randhir Singh has revealed that he had asked Pawan Sehrawat to go for quick raids when the team was trailing by a big margin against Bengal Warriors on Saturday. The Bengaluru Bulls coach also stated that the Bulls are not going to take any team lightly in the league.

Bengaluru Bulls showed their amazing skill of coming from behind and winning the game in yesterday’s match as they manage to get the better of the Kolkata-based franchise by 43-42 in Patna. Pawan Sehrawat was the star for the defending champions as he managed to score 29 points in 30 attempts and single-handedly won it for the Bulls.

After the win, Bulls coach Randhir Singh talked about the strategies behind the team and the performance of their star raider Pawan at the press conference.

“I told Pawan (Sehrawat) to raid for just 15 seconds, play fast, trouble the opposition with his speed. Once he got into his groove, I told Rohit to hold back and let Pawan do the bulk of the raiding,” Randhir told reporters.

“With two minutes left, he told me he was confident and could get all five men on the mat. But I told him that he needs to be patient and play for the team.”

The defending champions will be playing Telugu Titans in their next game on Thursday and Randhir didn’t want to comment a lot about the team’s strategy for the upcoming games. However, he stressed on the fact that all the teams playing in the league are excellent and the players need to prepare well for all the games.

“I wouldn’t want to dwell into strategies, but I must say that we won’t be taking them or any other team lightly. All 12 teams are excellent in their own way and we need to prepare well for each game. However, what I can say is that Bengaluru Bulls won’t panic in any situation - even if we are down 8-9 points in a game - because we’ve proven time and again that we are capable of overcoming any deficit,” the coach signed off.
