No matter how much hard work they put in, the Panthers can’t seem to get out of the rut. The issue they are majorly facing is that they are unable to come back in a game when the opponents have had a good start against them. Another problem that they face is giving multiple points in the defence through advanced tackles. In their last match against UP Yoddha, they lost by six points as they fell short in the end moments. Skipper Deepak Niwas Hooda scored 13 points but he wasn’t given timely support. In the defence, the top two scored six tackle points but also did nine unsuccessful tackles and by that, it is clear that they gave away more points than they scored. Jaipur will go back into top six provided UP Yoddha don’t win their match which is scheduled just after their. 

In Jaipur-Gujarat’s last meet it was a defence heavy battle where Jaipur won by 19-22. Gujarat have lost their last three matches and are currently at the 10th position with three points less than Patna who are directly above them. If Gujarat win this match they will have more points in the same number of matches as Patna and so they will have a chance to reach the seventh or even sixth place in the upcoming encounters. They haven’t been in the best of forms which is visible through their last match where the whole defensive unit scored only five points. This score is not appropriate for a team who rely more on their defence that their raiding. In the raiding unit, only Rohit Gulia has been doing well and the others are struggling so they need to find a solution for that as well. If Gujarat lose this match, their chances of going into the Top 6 is going to be really tough so this is a sought of do-or-die match for them. 

Deepak Niwas Hooda

As the only player in form from their raiding unit, Rohit’s responsibility increases ten-fold. Even though he has been doing well in the past matches, he is not able to make a bigger impact is because of his strike-rate. He needs to execute the team’s strategy against particular defenders better.
