International Shooting Competition | Shahu Tushar Mane wins gold in men’s air rifle

Indian colts had a brilliant outing at the International Shooting Competition held in Hannover with youth Olympics silver medalist Shahu Tushar Mane won the goal in the junior men’s air rifle category. Annu Raj, on the other hand, Singh won the bronze medal in the 25-metre sports pistol category.

Qualifying with a decent score of 623.2, Tushar led a clean sweep as he won the yellow metal with an impressive tally of 251.4. Mane was followed by Rudrankksh Patil who won the silver medal after finishing 2.8 points behind him and just edging past the world junior champion Hriday Hazarika by 0.6 points.

Veterans Ravi Kumar and Deepak Kumar, who were one of India’s bigger hopes in the tournament, could only finish fifth and seventh spots respectively, whole Tejas Krishna Prasad managed to qualify in the third place with a tally 627.9 and ended eighth eventually.

In other events category, of the 25-metre sports pistol, Annu Raj Singh won the women’s bronze medal, as Abhidnya Patil won the junior women’s silver medal after she qualified on top with 576.
