Steven Smith has revealed that he has just tried and replicated the best in the game like Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers to improve his batting. The Australian captain has had one hell of a year with the crushing 4-0 Ashes series win over England being the highlight of 2017.

Smith, who has been lauded for his unorthodox style of batting hasĀ stated that he just tried to imitate the likes of Kohli, Williamson and De Villiers amongst others, whomĀ he considers to be the best batsmen in the world.

Smith went on to recall Australiaās tour to India at the beginning of 2017, where the young skipper faced a torrid time on the pitch. Smith explained how he had to change his grip in order to suit the sub-continental pitches in India.
āIn places like India, for instance, I open my hands up a little bit. I donāt feel that I can get nicked off (caught behind the wicket) quite as easily in India as opposed to somewhere like Australia or South Africa. So I open up different parts of the ground,āĀ
