India's cycling prodigy Esow Alben continued his winning streak at the Junior Track World Cycling Championships on day four as he won the silver medal in the individual event. The cyclist has currently been the no. 1 in the junior men’s Keirin and Sprint event, keeping India there as well.

Alben was participating in Frankfurt on Saturday in the junior championship and he finished behind gold medalist Konstantinos Livanos of Greece to win the silver medal in the Men's Sprint event. Alben was followed by Daan Kool of the Netherlands, who managed to clinch the bronze medal.

This was Alben’s third medal of the week after the 18-year-old had previously won a bronze medal in the Men's Keirin event, prior to which he had started India’s campaign at the prestigious competition with a historic gold medal in Men's Team Sprint. He participated in that event alongside Ronaldo Singh and Rojit Singh, the team that finished on top.

The boy from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been one of the favourites in major tournaments for a year or so after he managed to win the silver medal in the same event in last year’s edition, which was held in Aigle, Switzerland. Alben is sitting in the world No. 1 junior rankings of both men's Keirin and Sprint events. India top both the categories as well.
