Delhi Dabang’s captain Joginder Narwal firmly believes that this season the team is better prepared and will be able to make it to the finals. After a semi-successful last season with a mix of experienced and young players, the management decided not to meddle with the core group .

Dabang Delhi were the fourth most successful team in terms of points scored last season scoring 822 points in 24 matches. The Delhi-based franchise even made it to the playoffs but eventually lost to the resilient UP Yoddhas. There were many positives that the Dabangs took with them from the previous season, especially where they found their core team in Joginder Narwal, Chandran Ranjit, Ravinder Pahal, and Naveen Kumar.

The team is in positive spirits after last season and are gearing to go all out this season as well and Narwal was quick to point out the preparations. “We have been practising for one and a half months in Delhi now. This time I can say that our preparations are stronger than ever and we will try our best to make the finals this year,” said Narwal, reported Sportstar.

Apart from these four the Meraj Sheikh-Vijay duo have also belted out fine performances as well and Narwal praised his teammates as well. "Meraj and Vijay, both are extremely gifted and they can get you points both by raiding and defending. They are extremely valuable on either end of the mat. We expect a lot from the duo," the skipper added.

Naveen Kumar, who was a young find for Dabang Delhi team scoring 172 raid points in 22 matches, was retained by the team using New Young Player (NYP). He has shown a lot of promise and the Dabangs will be banking on him to put a similar performance this season as well.

“We have all seen how good Naveen had been last season. This season too would be no different. However yes, there were areas which needed to be worked upon and thankfully the coach and the whole team has helped him overcome the errors he used to make from time to time. We are confident of his showing this year. He has gained a lot of confidence as well.” concluded Narwal.
