Saurav Ghosal and Joshna Chinappa have easily made it to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Asian Individual Squash Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Meanwhile, Tanvi Khanna also qualified for the top eight with a brilliant win over seventh seed Rachel Mae Arnold of the host nation.

Tanvi Khanna perhaps played her best ever match of her career till date. Down two games and when it seemed all was over bar the shouting, Tanvi put in her best to pushed the rival all around and out in the third game on tie break. Confidence gained and with her swift movements, Tanvi then went on to snatch the next two games for a scintillating 9-11, 5-11, 18-16, 11-7, 11-6 win. What is more the 14th seeded Tanvi now is set to meet her senior and second seed Joshna Chinappa in the last eight.

The reigning champion Joshna had it easy beating Lee Jihyun of Korea 11-5, 11-6, 11-5 but for the two other women players Sunayna Kuruvilla and Aparajitha Balamurukan it proved curtains. Malaysia's experienced and fourth seeded Low Lee Wern ousted Sunayna 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 while Hong Kong's fifth seed Liu Tsz Ling accounted for Aparajitha 11-9, 11-9, 11-1.

Men's top seed Saurav Ghosal coming late to the picture had another stroll in the park so to say. The Indian ace showed his touch and enviable range of strokes to set aside the Japanese RyunosukeTsuke 11-5, 11-8, 11-3 for a comfortable pre-quarterfinal outing.
