The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has added back the Tamil Nadu Table Tennis Association (TNTTA) as the only affiliated body in the State led by the former National champion V. Chandrasekar (president) and J. Selvakumar (secretary). TNTTA will carry out all activities in the state now.

The national table tennis federation has previously disaffiliated the state association which was registered under the Companies Act led by the president M.V.M. Velmurugan. To further complicate things, the Madras High Court had issued a stay order last month for the same.

However, now the Supreme Court has issued a stay order for the High Court stay, which has enabled the TTFI to give affiliation to the Chandrasekar-led body The TTFI issued a press release on Thursday revealing the same, and it was registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act (1975).

The release also further stated that the Tamil Nadu Table Tennis Association would be the sole affiliated body in the State, and consequently has been given the power to carry out all table tennis activities in the state.
